What to do if Kalanchoe is frozen

What to do if Kalanchoe is frozen

1. Watering

Watering needs to be heavily controlled because we can't keep watering it, especially if it has been frostbitten. If we keep watering it, it will die much faster. Generally speaking, watering it once every ten days or so is enough.

2. Temperature

Because the temperature in winter is very low, this is also a major cause of frostbite. Generally speaking, as long as it is not frozen too severely, we can alleviate this symptom by putting it in a warmer place. It prefers temperatures between fifteen and twenty-five degrees, within which it can grow well. If the temperature outside is low, we can consider moving it inside the room.

3. Lighting

Light has a great impact on it. If it is frostbitten, placing it in a sunny place is undoubtedly a good method. Because keeping it in a relatively dark place for a long time is not good for its growth, and it cannot alleviate its frostbite.

4. Pruning

If not all the branches have withered, it means we can still save the plant.

First, we cut off the leaves that have been frostbitten, then put it in a place with better light and ventilate it at noon, and it will basically get better. In addition, we need to cut off some old branches and leave new branches of about ten centimeters. Change the pots again in the spring. Basically, the frostbitten plants will get better.
