Angelica has poor resistance to drought and waterlogging, which indicates that it has strict requirements on water conditions. A soil moisture content of around 25% is most suitable for Angelica's growth. Timely irrigation and drainage are one of the main means to obtain high yields at that time.

1. Soil requirements

Angelica is suitable for growing in areas with higher altitudes. Generally, the planting area is above 2,400 meters above sea level. Sandy loam with deep soil, fertile and loose soil, good drainage and high humus content is suitable.

2. Fertilization requirements

When transplanting, adding fertilizer can promote the increase of production at that time. Generally, fertile black soil is selected for seedling cultivation, and a large amount of mountain ash fertilizer is applied as base fertilizer with nitrogen, phosphorus and inorganic fertilizers.
