Common diseases of balcony vegetables

Common diseases of balcony vegetables

1. Powdery mildew

It often occurs in melons, causing the leaves to wilt and develop many white spots. In severe cases, the leaves become net-like. There is no cure, it can only be killed by spraying. When the disease occurs, spray with 1000 times thiophanate solution, 800 times carbendazim, or 1000 times polysulfide mixture.

2. Mildew

It often occurs in beans and is often caused by poor ventilation. In the early stage of the disease, spray with 800 times solution of carbendazim or 700 times solution of mancozeb, spray once every 7 to 10 days, and spray 2-3 times continuously.

3. Downy Mildew

It is common in peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes, etc. When the disease occurs, black spots appear on the leaves. Spray with ethylene phosphite aluminum wettable powder or Bordeaux mixture. Downy mildew is quite stubborn and usually needs to be sprayed every 3 to 5 days, with improvement seen after 5 to 7 times.

4. Anthrax

It is common in peppers. You can spray the leaves with carbendazim solution once every 7 days, 2 to 3 times will be enough.

5. Disease

It often occurs in tomatoes. When the disease occurs, 400-500 times diluted alum can be used for prevention and control. Spray once every 7-8 days, spray 3-4 times. Increase the dosage appropriately on rainy days.

6. Verticillium wilt

It often occurs in eggplant, and is characterized by short plants and small fruits. When the disease occurs, use 1000 times solution of thiophanate or 800 times solution of carbendazim to irrigate the roots, 0.25 kg per plant, once every 7 to 10 days, and irrigate 3 to 4 times in a row.

In fact, each disease does not have fixed symptoms. The corresponding plants grow poorly and the leaves have spots. You can spray pesticides in time to kill bacteria. If you really don’t understand, you can go directly to the pharmacy to ask!
