Ornamental pineapple not blooming? After learning this trick, your pots will be filled with flowers!

1. When does it usually bloom?

If you want to make it bloom earlier, you need to know when it normally blooms. Generally, when it blooms, it will wait until its leaves grow to 30 pieces under natural growth, and if the environment is suitable, it will bloom on its own. It blooms during the transition from spring to summer. Although it has its own flowering time, we can also artificially control its flowering time to make it bloom as early as possible.

Many people choose to let it bloom its colorful flowers as soon as possible during festivals, which will make it more unique with the festive atmosphere.

2. How to promote flowering

Generally speaking, when inducing flowering, a commonly used method is to treat it with some drugs, mainly acetylene gas. We can find a leather hose, then connect the bottle of gas to a bucket of water, and completely put the leather hose with air holes into the water, then apply pressure to slowly release the gas from the bottle into the water. After all the gas is released, the water in the container will emit a pungent smell, and we can use it to promote flowering.

Specifically, pour the solution into the leaf cup of the plant, repeat three times, each time every 2 to 3 days, and it will basically bloom after 3 to 4 months.

3. Things to pay attention to when forcing flowers to bloom

1. The leaves of the plant should be enough

If you want to force it to flower successfully, the plant must have at least 20 leaves, including those that have withered, so that it can store enough nutrients. If there are too few leaves, the nutrients will be insufficient, which will not be conducive to flowering.

2. Suitable temperature

When inducing flowering, the temperature generally needs to be kept at around 20 degrees, and the higher the temperature, the shorter the time it takes to induce flowering, so that it can bloom earlier.

3. Appropriate fertilization

Within two weeks before the flowering, you must stop fertilizing it and just water it. After the flowering is over, you can start to apply more potassium fertilizer, which will be better for its flower spikes.
