What to do if the tips of gardenia leaves turn brown and dry

1. Reduce watering

Reason: Do not water excessively during the breeding process, otherwise water will easily accumulate in the pot, causing the roots to suffocate, causing the leaf tips to dry and turn brown, the growth rate to slow down, and it may even wither.

Solution: If this happens, remove the plant from the pot as soon as possible, place the soil in a cool place to dry naturally, and then put it back into the pot. This way, it will gradually recover. When watering in the later stage, be careful to prevent water accumulation.

2. Suitable lighting

Reason: The light provided during maintenance should be appropriate. Too strong or too weak is not good for its growth. If exposed to strong light for a long time, the leaves will turn yellow and dry up. If there is no light for a long time, the leaves will fall off.

Solution: If the light is too strong, move it to a place with scattered light as soon as possible and spray water appropriately to increase the humidity. If the light is too weak, move it to a brighter place for additional treatment.

3. Scientific fertilization

Reason: The concentration of fertilizer applied during maintenance is too high, which will burn the plants, causing the leaves to turn yellow and dry, and in severe cases, wither and fall off.

Solution: If the problem is with fertilizer, water the plant as quickly as possible to flush out the fertilizer and allow it to flow out with the water. When the situation is serious, the plant needs to be removed from the pot, the soil needs to be changed, and it needs to be replanted.
