How to grow Chinese evergreen in summer

How to grow Chinese evergreen in summer

1. Suitable temperature

In summer, maintaining a suitable temperature for the evergreen is a top priority. Peperomia likes warmth, and the most suitable temperature for it is around 25 degrees. Because the temperature in summer is relatively high, it is necessary to adjust it to a suitable range. When the temperature is very high, it is necessary to cool it down appropriately, such as placing it in an air-conditioned room. Generally speaking, it is best not to exceed 30 degrees, otherwise it will have an adverse effect on its health.

2. Proper lighting

Evergreen also has requirements for light in summer, but it is afraid of strong light. The light in summer can sometimes be very strong, especially at midday. Therefore, to be on the safe side, it is better to choose a semi-shaded place to place it. If it is placed in a location with direct light, remember to block out the strong light.

3. Appropriate amount of water

The temperature is higher in summer, so the rate at which moisture dissipates is faster than in other seasons. Therefore, water shortages must be replenished in time, sometimes even twice a day. In addition, you need to spray some water into the environment to increase the humidity.

4. Proper ventilation

In summer, create a good ventilation environment for it. There are many benefits to doing this. It not only provides good air, but also, due to the high temperature, ventilation can also cool down the room to a certain extent. Furthermore, if ventilation is not timely, some diseases and pests may appear in the hot and stuffy environment.
