How to grow jade plant to make it grow fast and have green leaves (rapid growth planting method for seedlings)

How to grow jade tree seedlings quickly

Although jade plants grow very fast, many flower lovers have grown them for several years but have not seen them grow much thicker. Instead, the branches grow very messy and the tree does not have a good shape, so the ornamental effect is greatly reduced.

First, suitable soil for growth

Jade plant has a strong germination ability and consumes a lot of nutrients. The soil for planting must meet the following requirements: loose and breathable, well-drained, slightly acidic and fertile soil.

It is recommended to use mixed soil and pre-bury the base fertilizer when planting. Flower soil can be mixed with 1/3 of garden soil + humus soil + freshwater river sand. When planting, bury a part of the fermented sheep dung balls in the soil.

Second, the growth environment

Jade tree is not cold-resistant, avoids strong light, and has good shade tolerance. The suitable temperature for maintaining jade tree is about 16 to 30 degrees Celsius.

The daily light exposure time for indoor maintenance is to keep bright light during the day, with about 3 hours of light in the morning or evening. Avoid strong sunlight.

However, if you want the jade tree to bloom, the temperature should be within the suitable growth range, and it should be exposed to sunlight for more than 6 hours a day, and avoid strong light. If the temperature is below 5 degrees Celsius in winter, it should be brought indoors for the winter.

Third, watering method

Jade plant is relatively drought-resistant. When maintained indoors, it only needs to be watered once a month in spring and winter, and once every 10 days in summer and autumn, and the leaves should be wetted 3 to 5 times a week.

For jade plants maintained outdoors, the watering method depends on the dryness of the soil. Do not water if the soil is not dry, and water thoroughly if it is. Wait until the soil is completely dry before watering. Water until water flows out of the seepage holes at the bottom of the pot.

Fourth, apply fertilizer appropriately

It is recommended that indoor jade plants be fertilized in the spring and autumn when they are in their prime growth period, in a location with sunlight outdoors. Fertilization in a shaded location will not only fail to work, but will damage or burn the roots.

It is recommended to fertilize once a month, using 1:3 fermented rice water. Jade plants grown outdoors can be fertilized once a month as long as the temperature is within the suitable growth range.

Fifth, trimming and shaping

The leaves of Jade Plant are relatively large, so you should pay attention to leaving space for the leaves when growing.

When shaping the branches of the jade tree, you can use cotton cloth to wrap the branches when they are not very old, and use aluminum wire to pull them horizontally or semi-horizontally. If the branches are too dense, you can properly trim them.
