Causes and treatments for yellow tulip leaves

Causes and treatments for yellow tulip leaves

1. Normal sleep

Reason: It blooms in spring and goes dormant in summer. In midsummer, its leaves will turn yellow and fall off.

Solution: At this time, just protect the bulb and maintain it normally. It will still bloom normally in the second year.

2. Lack of water

Reason: Tulips prefer a cool and humid environment. If there is insufficient water supply, its leaves will turn yellow.

Solution: Replenish water in time. If the soil in the pot is slightly dry, water it. Water it appropriately, watering it when the soil is dry and moistening it. In addition, tulips planted in the garden cannot be irrigated on a large scale, so try to choose spraying as the watering method.

3. Temperature is too high

Reason: Tulips are cold-resistant and do not like warmth. It can even survive at -35℃, but if the growth temperature exceeds 20℃, the growth will become slow and signs of yellowing leaves will appear.

Treatment: Move it to a cool and ventilated place, and then spray water on the leaves to cool it down. For general home-grown potted plants, it is best to place them in a cool place outdoors. The temperature also needs to be controlled reasonably. When the temperature reaches above 20℃, water should be sprinkled around the plants to cool them down.

4. Insufficient nutrients

Cause: Yellow and wilted tulip leaves may be caused by phosphorus deficiency.

Solution: Appropriate application of phosphorus fertilizer is needed to restore normal growth of the leaves. Generally, liquid fertilizer is mainly used for fertilization, and the frequency should be kept to once a week.
