Causes and treatments of yellow leaves of Jade Fan

Causes and treatments of yellow leaves of Jade Fan

1. Temperature is too low

Reason: Jade fans are suitable for maintenance in a warm environment, with the temperature preferably between 18-25 degrees Celsius. It is not cold-resistant and is more suitable to be grown indoors, especially in winter when the temperature drops below 10 degrees. It must be moved indoors for maintenance, otherwise it will be frostbitten and the leaves will turn yellow.

Measures: If the plant is frozen and turns yellow due to low temperature, it should be moved to a warm room as soon as possible and placed in a sunny place for maintenance.

2. Too much light

Reason: Jade fan is quite peculiar. Although it likes light, once the sunlight is too strong, it will damage the plant and hinder its growth. If sunburned, the leaves will gradually turn yellow and wither.

Measures: It needs to be moved to a semi-shaded place with no direct light but good scattered light, so that it can avoid strong direct light and have moderate sunlight to ensure suitable growing conditions.

3. Overwatering

Reason: Jade fans generally do not require much water. Even in summer, it does not need to be watered too much, and even water needs to be controlled. If you water it too much in summer or winter, beyond its normal needs, it will affect its growth and the leaves will turn yellow.

Measures: If you water too much, reduce watering, loosen the soil and drain the water, move it to a ventilated place with scattered light, and speed up the drying process of the water. For daily maintenance, water the plant once a week. During the dormant period in winter and summer, control the water and water less frequently.
