The flower language of wolfberry flower is derived from its medicinal effects and functions, representing longevity, happiness and good luck. Its flowering period is from June to November every year, lasting half a year.

The legend of wolfberry

Wolfberry has been active in people's lives since ancient times, and its reputation in history is naturally not small. It is said that during the heyday of the Tang Dynasty, a merchant encountered an interesting thing when staying in an inn:

He saw a woman scolding an old man. The merchant couldn't bear it and asked the woman why she hit the old man. The woman said she was scolding her grandson. The merchant was shocked and asked why the woman was so young. Seeing that the merchant was asking her questions sincerely, the woman told him that she could prolong her life by taking wolfberries all year round. Since then, wolfberry has been introduced to the West and other places, and is called the magical herb of the East.

There is another legend about improving eyesight. There was a girl from Ningxia named Gou Hongguo. Her mother cried so much that she went blind because of her father's death. In order to cure her mother's eyes, Hongguo went to various places to look for medicinal materials. An old immortal with a white beard guided her to use the collected wolfberries to heal her mother's eyes. As a result, her mother's eyes were cured. From then on, wolfberries were also called "improving eyesight".
