The difference between Jade cicada flower and iris

1. Difference of blades

The leaves of the Jade Cicada Flower are linear, about 30-80 cm long and 0.5-1.2 cm wide, with a long acuminate or acuminate apex, a sheath-like base, and obvious midribs on both sides.

Most of the leaves of irises are basal, overlapping each other, in two rows, sword-shaped or filamentous, and the leaves are parallel.

2. The difference between flowers

The flower stem of the Jade Cicada Flower is cylindrical, about 40-100 cm high, with three lanceolate bracts that are nearly leathery. The flower is dark purple in color, the perianth tube is funnel-shaped, the outer perianth lobes are obovate, the midrib has yellow markings, and the inner lobes are small, wide and upright.

The iris inflorescence grows at the top of the branch or the top of the flower stem, with several bracts, herbaceous or membranous, large flowers, and a variety of colors, including red purple, white, yellow, and blue purple. The perianth tube is trumpet-shaped, with 6 lobes, similar in shape to the former.
