1. Watering

Platycodon needs a lot of water during its growth period. You can water it more often, but you must pay special attention to not water it too much. You can water it more frequently, but never water it too much at one time. Waterlogging will cause root rot. Also pay attention to drainage on rainy days.

2. Temperature

The most suitable temperature for its growth is between 5℃-25℃, and it is best to be around 20℃ during the day, which is conducive to its faster growth. The temperature will drop at night, but it cannot be lower than 5℃, which will affect its growth.

3. Fertilization

Fertilizer does not have much impact on it, and its demand for fertilizer is not very strong. It mainly feeds on human and animal feces. If you mind, you can also choose diluted liquid fertilizer of calcium nitrate.

4. Lighting

Platycodon has a relatively high demand for sunlight. If conditions permit, you can place it on the balcony to allow it to receive sunlight throughout the day. It should be at least about 4 hours a day, which will not only promote its faster photosynthetic growth, but also effectively reduce the invasion of various diseases and insects and the phenomenon of excessive growth.

5. Notes

If you need to change the pot during the breeding period, you should stop watering 2 or 3 days before the change of pot, which will help the soil to depot. Before winter, you can also cut off the part of the plant above the ground to control nutrient consumption.
