Differences between Jacaranda and Jacaranda

1. Different leaves

Jacaranda is also called blue mist tree and Brazilian bignonia. Its leaves are quite similar to the latter. If you don't look closely, you can't tell the difference. The tail end of its leaves is a little pointed. The number of leaves is also very distinctive, with an odd number of pinnate leaves.

The red jacaranda is also called the fire tree, the foreign jacaranda, and the poinciana. The tips of its leaves are rounded and not so pointed. The number of leaves is different from the former, and the number is an even number.

2. Different flowers

The flowers of Jacaranda are blue in color. The entire inflorescence is cone-shaped, and the individual flowers are bell-shaped. The corolla is about 5 cm long and has 5 cracks.

The Jacaranda is just like its name, the flowers are red and very bright, sometimes bright red to orange-red, with a diameter of about 7-10 cm. The calyx curls backwards, and the difference in flower color is very obvious. You can tell what kind of tree it is by the color of the flowers.

3. Different fruits

The fruit of the Jacaranda is oblate, about 5 cm in length and width, and thicker in the middle.

The fruit of the red jacaranda is ribbon-shaped, relatively flat, larger than the former, and contains many seeds.
