The difference between the Nanyang Jacaranda and the Blue Jacaranda

The difference between the Nanyang Jacaranda and the Blue Jacaranda

1. Different plant heights

The Nanyang Ying is also called the Renren wood and the Renren tree. It is a large evergreen tree belonging to the Fabaceae and Albizia genus. The trunk is relatively straight and the tree can grow to a maximum height of about 45 meters.

Jacaranda is a deciduous tree, also known as purple cloud tree, blue mist tree and Brazilian bignonia. It is a tree belonging to the Bignoniaceae family and the Jacaranda genus. The trunk can be as high as 15 meters, and those cultivated in natural conditions are shorter than the former.

2. Different leaves

The leaves of the Nanyang jasmine are slightly pointed at the tip, but are generally obtuse, with the tip leaning to one side. Some of the small leaves have no petioles and are oblong in shape like a diamond. It is an evergreen tree with green leaves all year round. They remain green in autumn and winter without any yellowing leaves.

The leaves of Jacaranda are more pointed than the former, and the tip is in the middle. It is a deciduous tree. Its leaves turn yellow and fall off in autumn, so you can accurately judge whether it is growing by looking at whether the leaves turn yellow in autumn and winter.

3. Different flowers

The flowers of the South Sea Jacaranda are white at first, then turn yellow, and the calyx is bell-shaped.

The flowers of the Jacaranda are blue with rounded corolla lobes.
