How to plant Dripping Guanyin? Planting time and method

Planting time of Dripping Guanyin

The seeds of the weeping angel are usually planted in spring because the climate in this season is mild and the sunlight is not very strong. The seeds will germinate faster after planting. After sowing the seeds in the soil, spray water to moisturize them. If the soil is too dry, it will affect seed germination. Also pay attention to blocking the sunlight. Do not expose the seeds to direct sunlight before germination.

Planting method of dripping guanyin

There are two methods for breeding the weeping angel. Normally, they are cultivated by division and cutting. In the summer or autumn every year, the rhizomes will grow many sprouts. When the sprouts grow stems and tender leaves, they can be broken off and transplanted into pots. This method is called division. Of course, you can also wait until the weeping angel grows fruits. When the seeds turn red, it proves that they are fully mature and you can store the seeds for sowing next year.

How to plant the newly bought dripping Guanyin

1. If you have just bought the Weeping Guanyin, do not change the pot yet. You need to check the growth status of the plant first and trim the withered, yellow, and sick branches in time.

2. Light: It likes shade. When you first buy it, you need to put it in a cool place for a while. After 3-4 days, it can receive light.

3. Watering: When you just buy it, you need to reduce watering. After it adapts to the environment and resumes growth, you can water it normally.

4. Temperature: It is sensitive to temperature. When you first buy it, the ambient temperature should be controlled at around 25°C, which is suitable for its growth.

5. Fertilization: It has a relatively large demand for fertilizer, but when you just buy it, you don’t need to apply fertilizer. Wait until it resumes normal growth before applying fertilizer.

How to grow the weeping angel quickly

1. Suitable temperature: The growth of the weeping angel requires suitable temperature so that the growth rate will be faster. The ambient temperature can be kept above 18 degrees Celsius.

2. Diffused light: The weeping angel is shade-tolerant but afraid of strong light, so it cannot be placed under direct light. It needs to be shaded in the summer and can be placed in a place with sufficient diffuse light.

3. Breathable soil: The weeping angel likes loose, fertile and well-drained soil. Suitable soil can promote the growth of the plant, and it can make sandy soil rich in humus.

4. Keep moist: The weeping angel likes moisture, but it needs to be watered reasonably. Water it when the soil is completely dry. Do not water it excessively or it will cause water accumulation in the pot.

5. Fertilizer supplement: The weeping angel needs sufficient fertilizer to grow. In addition to applying base fertilizer, appropriate topdressing is also required during the growth period.

Precautions for potted cultivation of dripping Guanyin

The stems of the weeping angel plant are loose, so the water quality for breeding needs to be kept clean and the water should be changed frequently. When changing the water, the rotten roots should be trimmed and the mucus on the stems should be removed.

If you want the weeping angel to be more ornamental, when the seedlings grow to a certain stage, you can use 2% paclobutrazol solution to spray the whole plant.
