How to prepare soil for Molan potted plants?

Suitable soil requirements for Molan potted plants

Mo Lan grows well in suitable soil. If the soil is not suitable, root rot and yellow leaves will occur. Therefore, before planting, it is more appropriate to choose loose, acidic soil rich in humus. You can buy special flower soil or prepare soil for use.

Method of preparing soil for Molan potted plants

1. Leaf mold + sand and mud

When preparing the soil for Mo Lan potted plants, you can mix leaf mold and sand and mud in a ratio of 5:1. Sand and mud have certain drainage properties, while leaf mold is rich in nutrients. The soil prepared in this way is fertile and loose, which is suitable for the growth of Mo Lan.

2. Humus soil + peat soil + slag + river sand

The soil for the Mo Lan potted plant can also be prepared by mixing humus, peat soil, slag and river sand in the ratio of 4:2:2:2. This kind of soil has strong air permeability and drainage, and is not prone to water accumulation.

Steps for changing the soil for Molan potted plants

1. Before changing the soil of the Mo Lan potted plant, it must be removed from the pot. Do not pull the plant out directly, but slowly break the pot, take out the plant together with the soil, and then trim the rotten and dried roots. After pruning, place it in a cool, well-ventilated place to dry.

2. Dig up most of the old soil of the Mo Lan potting plant, fill it with new soil, and then stir it evenly. Put a small part of the soil into the new pot, plant the plant in the center of the pot, and then slowly fill the pot with soil until it reaches the base of the plant. Finally, water it thoroughly.

3. After successfully changing the soil of the Mo Lan potted plant, place it in a place where it cannot be exposed to the sun. Do not move it during this period. Once it has adapted to the new potting soil, it can be cultivated normally. This usually takes about one to two weeks.
