It has high nutritional value and is nutritionally comprehensive and balanced, mainly containing substances such as carbohydrates, proteins and amino acids.

What is chestnut plant

Chestnut, also known as millet, is an annual herbaceous plant of the genus Setaria in the Poaceae family. Its growth cycle is about 80-130 days.

It is drought-resistant and barren-resistant, easy to store, and has low soil requirements.

It can be planted in clay or sandy soil, but if you want high yield and good quality, it is best to choose fertile soil that meets its requirements for light and nutrients.

Appearance and characteristics of chestnut

The chestnut has a very thick root system, its stems are upright and thick, and its inflorescence is cylindrical, usually appearing to be drooping.

It is mainly divided into two types: glutinous millet and japonica millet. Its grains are relatively small, most of them are light yellow in color, and have a relatively hard texture. It is often used to make millet porridge.

Its leaves are glabrous, with dense cilia on the edges, and the leaves are long lanceolate or linear lanceolate, with a relatively rough texture on the upper side and smooth on the lower side. In addition, the husk of chestnuts is mainly yellow, white, and brown.
