How to care for gardenia

1. Temperature method

During the maintenance of gardenia, maintaining a suitable temperature can make the plant grow better, so it should be given a growth environment of 16-18℃. The temperature in spring and autumn is more suitable, but in summer we need to do a good job of cooling down, such as watering and ventilation; we should also pay attention to keeping warm in winter.

2. Lighting time

It prefers sunlight. When the sunlight is not very strong, the plant can be given full-day sunlight. The summer sun in the north can be very strong, so it needs to be shaded at midday. If the growing environment is too dark, the plant may grow too tall and affect flowering. Therefore, even if it is grown indoors, it must be exposed to more sunlight.

3. Water demand

It does not have very strict requirements for water, and it is best to keep the cultivation soil slightly moist. If you water too much, the roots of the gardenia will be irritated and prone to root rot. During its growth period, spray water as much as possible to keep the humidity not too low. In addition, the winter needs to be gradually reduced

4. Slightly trim

In order to make it grow better, the withered and dense branches need to be cut off in time, which will help the plant to ventilate better. Cutting off the withered flowers in time after the flowering period can promote the sprouting of new shoots.
