How to take care of old succulent plants after they are beheaded

How to take care of old succulent plants after they are beheaded

1. Apply to wound

In order to help the incision heal better after beheading and prevent infection, you can crush the amoxicillin tablets into powder and then sprinkle it evenly on the wound, or you can use carbendazim. This method helps the plant recover quickly. Then put it in a cool and ventilated place and wait for about 2-3 days for the wound to heal and dry.

2. Repotting

Prepare a soft substrate with good drainage and air permeability. You can add coarse sand to the garden soil to make a suitable substrate. Plant the plants in pots. The newly potted plant cannot be exposed to strong light. You can first place it in a diffuse light environment, and then expose it to normal light after it gradually adapts.

3. Maintenance conditions

After potting it, water it thoroughly so that it can take root. Then observe the dryness of the soil in the pot, and add water after it becomes dry. Don’t waste the cut parts, you can use them to obtain new plants through cuttings.
