Disease and Pest Control of Chrysanthemum

Disease and Pest Control of Chrysanthemum

Diseases

The most common disease this flower encounters is leaf blight. You can roughly understand the symptoms by looking at the name. This disease is likely to be transmitted by pathogens from the previous year. Once there is a period of severe wind and rain, it is very likely to get sick, because the pathogens are mostly spread to the plant through wind and rain. The disease is most serious from July to October, and the plants grow faster during this period, so you must be extra careful, especially with the lower leaves, as the disease will be more serious.

Therefore, in the autumn of the first year, the fallen leaves left over from the previous year must be completely removed, and then gathered together and burned. So as not to affect the plants in the second year. A good location should be selected before planting, and management should be strengthened during the planting process. Once any disease is found during the process, the diseased plants should be removed in time and a certain amount of pesticide should be sprayed to eliminate the disease. In addition, try not to spray when watering, but use drip irrigation, which can reduce the spread of germs.

Pests

Aphids can be said to be the stars in the world of pests and diseases, and we try to avoid them. This type of insect generally appears between early September and October. They mainly eat the stems and leaves. If this kind of insect appears, it may cause the death of the entire plant in serious cases, so prevention is also important.

If prevention is not done properly, once this little insect appears, it will be necessary to use pesticide spraying to control it. Generally, you can use it once every 7 days, a total of 2-3 times is enough. Be careful not to use it too frequently. Even the most advanced pesticides can harm the plants. Don't burn the plants in the end.
