What to do if lavender falls over? What are the reasons for lavender drooping?

1. Supplement potassium fertilizer

Lavender lodging is due to the stems being too thin and weak to support the weight of the upper part of the plant. To improve this, we must first make the stems thicker, and phosphorus and potassium elements can help. If you find that the stems of the plants are not strong, you can apply some phosphorus and potassium fertilizers to prevent them from falling over. At the same time, the amount of nitrogen fertilizer should be controlled in daily maintenance. Too much nitrogen fertilizer can easily cause excessive growth and cause it to fall over.

2. Control watering

Lavender does not require much water. Once the roots are flooded, it will easily affect the development of the plant, and it will eventually fall over. Moreover, excessive watering will cause it to grow too tall, which is not conducive to the development of the stems. Usually, you should control the amount of water and don’t water too much. Generally, you can water it after the soil is dry. This will allow the plants to grow evenly.

3. Increase Lighting

Lavender prefers light. If it is grown in a too dark place, the plant will grow too tall due to lack of light, and it will easily fall over in this case. Generally, you need to put it in a sunny place. If it has grown too tall, you can trim it appropriately, cut off the too high part, and let it grow again.

4. Shade during the seedling stage

Lavender is not resistant to sunlight when it is a seedling. It can easily get sunburned if exposed to strong sunlight at this time, and it will also fall over due to lack of water. Therefore, after planting, it should be placed in a semi-shaded place to receive a certain amount of scattered light. After the plant grows to a certain height, it can be placed in the sun to receive light.
