Complete steps and maintenance methods of hydroponic cultivation of dragon blood tree

Hydroponics steps

1. Select a dragon blood tree with a regular shape and dark green leaves, wash its roots and trim some old roots.

2. Choose a double-layered glass container, wash it and set aside.

3. Place the washed roots of the dragon blood tree in a planting basket and fill the basket with medical stone, orchid stone or pebbles.

4. Add water to a tall glass container and allow the roots of the Dracaena in the planting basket to come into contact with water. Place the Dracaena in the planting basket in a plastic bucket or box filled with clean water to promote root growth.

5. Add 3-5 drops of nutrient solution into a tall glass container, add water and put one or two goldfish in for viewing, and place the dragon blood tree with new roots into the glass container, allowing part of the roots to extend into the water.

6. In the glass vase, the top is green and the bottom is white roots immersed in water. There are also lively fish swimming around in the water. In this way, the work of flowers and fish appreciating the dragon blood tree with movement and stillness complementing each other is completed.

Daily care

1. It is best to raise fish in spring and autumn, but not in summer and winter.

2. In summer, change the nutrient solution to clean water and change the water frequently.

3. Choose heat-resistant and cold-resistant fish, such as Chinese fighting fish, red swordfish, mosquito fish, zebrafish and other fish that are easier to raise.

4. Since fish are raised in the water, the frequency of water changes should be increased. If dead fish, rotten roots of flowers, or turbid water are found, the water should be changed immediately.

5. Generally, fish feed should be fed on the first day of water change, and the amount of feed should be the same as that of feeding fish alone.

6. It is best to put some shells, colored stones or aquatic plants in the container to create a living environment for fish, absorb impurities in the water, improve the clarity of the container, and serve as decoration.
