Commonly used cultivation granular substrates for hydroponic flowers

Clay

Expanded clay is a man-made lightweight aggregate that is hard in structure, has a water-proof and air-retaining glaze layer on the surface, and contains microporous ceramic granules inside. Clay pellets are made from sea mud clay as the main raw material. Clay pellets are non-toxic, odorless, corrosion-resistant, and have excellent adsorption properties. They are suitable for all types of water purification and are very beneficial to the attachment and growth of microorganisms. They are widely used in soilless cultivation of flowers, potted flowers, and bonsai cultivation.

Blue Stone

Orchid stone, also known as burnt soil or volcanic expanded stone, is often used to grow orchids. It has good air permeability and water retention properties and is rich in potassium.

Stone Rice

Stone grains are natural stones that are processed into particles the size of peanuts and soybeans. These granular substrates are generally alkaline and must be rinsed with water before use. They are used as fixing and decorative materials for water-grown flowers.

Except for plants with ugly root systems and plants that need to be fixed, it is also quite interesting and cute to use granular substrate to grow newly sown small woody plants and palm plants in water.
