Why can't we grow peonies at home?

Why can't we grow peonies at home?

1. Statement

As for the saying that this kind of plant cannot be planted at home, it is actually quite superstitious, because it is said that it is very yin-absorbing, and if our house is a yang house, it will not be able to suppress it, so many old people say that this kind of flower can only be planted in temples.

But in fact it is not like that, especially this kind of flower, it is particularly beautiful and highly ornamental, so it is very suitable for cut flowers or planting in flower beds. If you believe this statement, then that’s fine. If you don’t believe it, that’s fine too, because planting it won’t necessarily bring you bad luck.

2. Breeding

If there are people who don’t believe this statement, you can raise it at home according to the following method.

1. Watering

In fact, this kind of plant does not need much water. If we put it in the yard, we generally do not need to water it frequently except for natural precipitation. Generally, the time when it needs the most water is before and after it blooms. If you encounter a spring drought, you can try watering it a few times so that the soil moisture can be replenished, but don't water too much each time.

2. Lighting

Because it prefers light, especially when it is growing rapidly, only when this condition is met can it grow lushly and the color of the flowers will be beautiful. Of course, it can also grow normally in slightly shaded areas. If the flower is in its flowering period, we can lower the temperature, increase the humidity, and provide it with appropriate shade, so that its viewing period will be longer.

3. Temperature

Temperature is quite important. It prefers high temperatures and is also quite cold-resistant, so it can survive safely even in the hot summer. It can grow normally whether it is 42 degrees or minus 46 degrees.

4. Fertilization

Fertilization needs to be controlled. Generally, fertilizer is applied about three times a year. The first time is when new shoots grow out. After that, fertilizer also needs to be applied when the leaves and buds stretch. Generally, quick-acting fertilizer is applied.

5. Plastic surgery

Generally, it needs to be pruned, including branches, trunks, buds, buds and withered flowers. After planting for about two or three years, the trunk can be fixed. If it grows faster, it can be pruned into a single trunk. For weaker plants, only the weak branches can be cut off.

6. Deworming

Generally, early prevention is used, and if insect pests occur, pesticides can be used, usually more times with smaller intervals.
