Buddha's hand flower itself is a very good ornamental plant, which can beautify the environment. It can treat symptoms such as liver and stomach pain and loss of appetite. Generally, 3-6 grams is taken as a decoction.

Fresh bergamot flowers cannot be taken orally and need to be processed. Its flowers are usually picked in the early morning before sunrise and then placed in a sunny place to dry. The fruit is finger-shaped, with a light yellow and relatively rough skin, and the flesh is nearly transparent. It tastes sweet and sour and has a certain aroma.

4. How to maintain

Buddha's hand flower grows best in warm, humid and sunny places. Generally, loose, fertile, breathable and well-drained sandy loam is used as the substrate. Organic fertilizer should be applied once a month during the first three years of the growing season. After the peak fruit-bearing period, fertilizer should be applied three times a year, during the flowering period, young fruit period and after picking. Flowers need to be thinned out during the flowering period, usually keeping 1-2 flowers on each short branch. Regular pruning is also required, and new shoots should be topped off when they are 5-8 cm.
