How to grow Fire Festival so that it will bloom out of the pot?

Fire Festival is a succulent plant that is more suitable for novice flower lovers to raise, because it is not only very beautiful, but also grows fast, has strong resistance, and is very easy to maintain. When it is well maintained, the Fire Festival will turn into a brilliant fiery red. So how can you grow the Fire Festival so that it will bloom out of the pot? Let’s take a look below.

1. Soil

The first thing to do when growing potted Fire Festival is to choose suitable soil. It is best to choose loose, fertile, well-drained sandy soil. Beginners can use red clay pots when planting. If it is glass, it will easily absorb heat and have poor air permeability, which is not conducive to the growth of the plant. The suitable growth temperature of Fire Festival is 5℃-35℃. Too high or too low temperature will also affect the growth of the plant.

2. Lighting

Potted fire figs can be placed on a well-ventilated balcony. Plenty of sunlight will make the fire figs grow better. Insufficient light will cause the leaves to be sparse and the whole plant to be light green or dark green. This shows the importance of sunlight. In the summer when the temperature is high and the light is strong, shade measures should be taken to avoid sunburn.

3. Water and fertilizer

When watering, you must control the amount of water and avoid waterlogging, so as to prevent root rot caused by excessive watering. When fertilizing, it is best to apply a thin layer of fertilizer once a month, mainly phosphorus and potassium fertilizers. In normal times, you should also remove the dry old leaves in time to avoid accumulation that affects the growth of the plant.

4. Temperature

The growing environment of the fire festival cannot be lower than 6 degrees Celsius. In summer, it is necessary to avoid the scorching sun and take certain sunshade measures to prevent the fire festival from being sunburned or killed. If the temperature is too low in winter, we can move the fire sacrifice indoors and place it where it can get sunlight.

5. Ventilation

The leaves of the fire festival are still relatively compact, thick and full. At this time, good ventilation is a necessary condition for normal growth to avoid diseases and pests. Ensuring a certain temperature difference is an effective way to promote the coloring and formation of old stumps of the fire festival.

6. Reproduction

We can propagate the Fire Festival plant during its growing season. Cut its tender and vigorous branches, place them in a ventilated place for 2-3 days, then bury them in the soil. Water them about once every 11 days or so, and they will take root and survive after more than 20 days.
