How to water the bracteata

How to water the bracteata

When to water the hyacinth

Watering is usually done in the early morning or evening, and do not choose to water at noon.

In spring, autumn and winter, it is most appropriate to water the plants around 10 am and 4 pm. In summer, avoid watering during periods of strong sunlight or high temperatures at noon.

How often to water the bracts

The frequency of watering the bracteata should be determined according to the different potting soil.

If the potting soil is made of hard, hydrophobic materials such as volcanic rock, red brick particles, pumice stone, etc., which are not particularly good at retaining water, you can choose to water it once a day.

If the potting soil is made of pond mud, humus soil and other highly absorbent materials, which can retain water for a longer time, you can choose to water it once every two to three days.

How to water the bracteata

It is best to use clean, pollution-free, slightly acidic water for watering.

When watering the bracteata, it is usually done by spraying, which can not only increase the humidity of the air, but also wash away the dirt on the leaves.

However, if the bracteata is in the flowering period, water should be supplied using the immersion method. The water should not cover the mouth of the pot, and the holes at the bottom of the pot should be used to moisten the soil.

Precautions for watering the hyacinth

Summer is the peak growth period of the bracteolum. At this time, water should be ensured to be sufficient, otherwise the bracteolum will grow poorly.

The temperature difference is large in winter, so the temperature of water and soil is quite different. At this time, you cannot use cold water directly for watering. You can leave the water at room temperature and water it after a while, or directly water it with warm water.

Watering should follow the principle of "water when dry, stop when wet, and keep it slightly dry". Water must be poured thoroughly, not halfway.

After planting the bracteolum, the first watering is called "rooting water". The rooting water must be sufficient and thorough. After potting, it must be watered twice in a row. After the water flows out from the holes at the bottom of the pot for the first time, water it again.
