Blueberry planting technology, planting climate requirements

Blueberry planting technology, planting climate requirements

1. Cultivation soil

When planting, choose slightly acidic soil that is breathable, well-drained, and loose. In such a soil environment, blueberries will grow better, grow more vigorously, and produce more fruits.

2. Light temperature

Blueberries prefer to grow in a slightly shaded environment. The temperature in summer is too high and the light is very strong, so you have to avoid it in time. In the other three seasons, you can bask in the sun all day in a diffuse light environment. Note that the temperature should not be too high during the growth period. Blueberries grown in a high temperature environment will be very small and the taste will also be affected.

3. Water requirements

Blueberries are afraid of waterlogged environments. When watering, wait until the soil is dry before watering, and make sure to water thoroughly each time. The specific amount of watering should be adjusted according to seasonal climate changes. In summer, the temperature is too high and water is lost quickly, so the amount of water can be increased. In winter, the temperature is too high and the growth is slow, so the humidity needs to be reduced. Water should be controlled appropriately to avoid waterlogging.

4. Apply fertilizer

During the growth period, more nutrients are needed, and fertilizers should be supplemented in time. Be careful not to apply too much fertilizer and do not exceed the limit that the plant can bear. Otherwise, it will not only fail to promote growth, but will also cause fertilizer damage and hinder growth. Usually, top dressing is done once every half a month, using diluted liquid fertilizer.
