1. Pests:

Speaking of yellowing leaves, I believe many people, like me, think it is caused by pests. At this time, we must first check whether there are any insects on the lisianthus plants. If there are, then "prescribe the right medicine" and choose the corresponding drug for treatment; if no pests are found on the plants, it may be caused by underground pests and diseases. For this situation, friends who are planting on a large scale can sprinkle some sand medicine on the ground before watering. If you have fewer pots at home, you can also change the soil in a pot and give it a try.

2. Lack of water:

The growth of lisianthus requires high moisture in the soil, and it will not work if the soil is too dry or too wet. Some friends only do "superficial work" when watering, that is, they only wet the surface of the soil but do not completely soak the soil. This condition may also cause yellowing of lisianthus leaves.

3. Temperature difference:

If your lisianthus was previously grown in a greenhouse, don't worry. The yellowing of the leaves is just because it needs to adapt to the temperature difference and it will return to normal after a while.

4. Lack of fertilizer:

Yellowing of lisianthus leaves may also be caused by insufficient fertilizer. When there is sufficient fertilizer, the tips of the lisianthus leaves will be curled upwards, and it will look relatively upright and grow vigorously. Lack of fertilizer will cause the plants to lose energy. Therefore, before applying fertilizer, make sure the soil is moist. If the soil is too dry, it will affect the release of fertilizer.

Here is a tip for you: Most families would choose peat when planting lisianthus, but peat planting can easily lead to calcium deficiency in lisianthus. If you don't want to buy calcium-containing fertilizers, washing, drying, crushing and sprinkling eggshells on the soil can also act as fertilizer.
