How to grow Pyracantha bonsai

1. Sufficient sunlight is required

Sunlight is closely related to whether it can be grown well. This condition is very critical, so it should be placed in a place where it can get full sunlight, such as a balcony or a bright window throughout the year. Especially after autumn, sufficient sunlight is needed to promote the healthy growth of the plants and the formation of flower buds.

2. Water

It can tolerate drought and cannot live in a humid environment for a long time. As long as the soil in the pot is not completely dry, there is no need to water it. In summer and autumn, if the plant has produced fruit, it cannot be too dry. Ensure a certain amount of water. If it has not produced fruit, it can be dried appropriately.

3. Fertilization

Since it produces a lot of flowers and fruits, nutrient supplementation is very important. Starting from the beginning of budding in spring, fertilize once every 15-30 days. In autumn, the demand for fertilizer becomes greater, and it can be applied every 10-20 days to ensure the growth supply of the plants. The types of fertilizers are mainly organic fertilizers containing phosphorus and potassium.

4. Thinning

For the growth of the plants, the flower buds of the unformed plants should be thinned out when they are flowering, which can promote their growth. When there are too many fruits in contact, some of them need to be thinned out so that the remaining fruits can grow fuller.
