Cultivation methods and precautions of Schefflera variegated

Cultivation methods and precautions of Schefflera variegated

1. The habit of this plant

(1) First of all, it likes a warm climate, and the suitable temperature for its growth is between 20 and 30 degrees. If it is winter, the temperature cannot be lower than five degrees Celsius, and the lowest should not be lower than zero degrees, otherwise the plants will be frozen and the leaves will fall.

(2) In addition, it likes a humid environment and is particularly afraid of dryness. However, water should not be given without restraint, as it is also afraid of waterlogging.

(3) In addition, it has a strong ability to adapt to light. It can grow in full sun, half sun, and semi-shade. However, the color of its leaves will be different in different environments. When the light is strong, its color is light green; when the light is weak, its leaves are dark green.

(4) It also has some requirements for soil quality, which we will mention later.

2. Specific methods

(1) Temperature: If you are in a relatively southern region, you basically don’t need to pay too much attention to it. If it is a place with a relatively high latitude, then you have to be careful in winter. It is best not to drop below five degrees to ensure a safe winter.

(2) Water: Water more when the growth rate is faster. When the air is dry, you can increase the humidity by spraying water. However, there should not be too much water, otherwise the roots will rot.

(3) Light: We have mentioned its characteristics above. You can adjust the degree of light according to your own preferences.

(4) Soil: Nutrient-rich, loose soil and good drainage are the basics. We can mix peat soil, leaf mold and coarse sand to grow it.

3. Notes

When watering, be careful not to let the soil be too dry at one moment and too wet at another.
