Bamboo cultivation methods and precautions

Bamboo cultivation methods and precautions

1. Soil

Loose, fertile sandy soil is required, and it should be adjusted to neutral or acidic. Don't use something too sticky or alkaline. You can mix farmland soil and humus soil and add some fine sand to increase its air permeability.

2. Watering

Bamboo is particularly afraid of waterlogging. Therefore, in daily management, do not water too much. In summer, you can do it once a day. In winter, watering needs to be strictly controlled to avoid frostbite. In addition, newly transplanted plants need to be watered thoroughly once and then undergo normal maintenance.

3. Fertilization

When first planting or transplanting, you can mix some fertilizer into the soil as base fertilizer. After entering the normal growth state, top dressing is required, using 0.5% concentration of urea, together with watering.

4. Lighting

There is a need for it, but it should not be too strong. Be sure to provide shade in summer. In winter, it should be placed in a sunny and windproof place.

5. Notes

(1) Some pests and diseases often plague plants, such as aphids and leaf blight. After discovering the disease, the diseased branches and leaves must be cut off in time and sprayed with pesticides; if encountering insect pests, pesticides must also be sprayed as soon as possible.

(2) In winter, it needs to be kept in a warm place or covered with plastic film to keep warm.

(3) In summer, when evaporation is particularly high, you need to spray water on the leaves frequently.
