Under what conditions can Oxalis bloom?

When does Oxalis bloom?

Oxalis is a perennial plant. As long as the environment is suitable, it will bloom continuously in spring, summer and autumn, but the flowers bloom most in the cool weather in spring and autumn. Usually Oxalis blooms in the morning and the flowers begin to close around 11 o'clock. Because Oxalis is short, grows fast, has a long flowering period, and a field of flowers that is very spectacular during the flowering season, it is widely used in gardens.

Flowering environment requirements of Oxalis

If you want the Oxalis to have bright colors and more flowers, it is not only related to the variety, but also very important to maintain it during planting. Here are some of the stringent requirements of the common yellow flowered Oxalis:

Bulbs

Usually fresh bulbs are planted in pots in August. Be sure to choose fresh bulbs grown in the current year. After sowing, water the pots using the immersion method to soak the potting soil. Then place the potting soil in a cool place and wait for germination.

Sunlight

When three leaves grow (be sure to grasp the timing), place the potted plant in a sunny place indoors for maintenance.

Fertilization

An important step for flowering: Apply a nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium compound fertilizer 20 days after planting. Buds appear in November, and flowers bloom in clusters around the Spring Festival, so beautiful!

Note: Yellow-flowered Oxalis has strong adaptability, but it needs plenty of sunlight during the growing period. If it is a potted plant, place it in the sun and try not to shade it.
