1. Difference of blades

The leaves of Huangchan are arranged in whorls of 3-5, elliptical or oblong-shaped, about 5-12 cm long, 1.5-4 cm wide, with short soft hairs, and the veins are raised underneath.

The leaves of the soft-branched yellow lily are single leaves arranged in whorls, thin and fleshy, oblong in shape, with a pointed tip, green in color, a smooth surface, hairy on the mid-rib on the back, and pinnate veins.

2. The difference between flowers

The inflorescence of Huangchan grows in a cyme at the top. The corolla is yellow in color, funnel-shaped, about 4-6 cm long, with a swollen base of the corolla tube and 5 lobes, all covering to the left, round or oval in shape, and blunt at the top.

The soft-branched yellow hibiscus has a raceme that grows at the top of the new shoots. It is also yellow in color with reddish-brown stripes in the middle, and the base of the corolla is not swollen.
