1. Is it toxic?

Mangosteen seeds are not poisonous, but they are not edible. Only the white flesh is edible, the rest is not edible. The surface of its seeds is very smooth and has no edges, so be careful not to swallow them when eating, especially children.

The yellow part inside the mangosteen is not edible. If the yellow part is removed and the white part remains, it is edible. If there is yellow part and the shell is very soft, it is recommended not to eat it, as it means it has been stored for too long and is not fresh.

If you accidentally eat mangosteen seeds, don't worry too much, because the seeds themselves are non-toxic and will not cause poisoning. They will be excreted from the body through intestinal peristalsis.
