How to grow nasturtium on the balcony and what to pay attention to

1. Sunlight

The plant Nasturtium cannot tolerate shade and prefers light. If it is kept in an environment without light for a long time, its growth will be affected, the stems and leaves will grow too long, and the leaves will turn yellow. If you keep it at home, the balcony is more suitable. It needs to receive sufficient light in spring, autumn and winter. In summer, when the light is strong, it needs to be shaded to avoid direct light burning the leaves.

2. Water

It cannot tolerate drought and needs a certain amount of water during its growth. It likes to grow in a humid environment. It grows vigorously in spring and autumn. Water it every 2 to 3 days. Water it once a day in summer. Reduce watering in winter and just keep the soil in the pot slightly moist.

3. Fertilization

It blooms a lot, so to ensure flowering, you need to apply fertilizer reasonably and fertilize regularly to coordinate with its growth. Fertilize every 2-3 weeks during the growing season. The amount should not be too much. Try to apply thin fertilizers frequently to reasonably meet the growth needs. At the same time, be careful not to apply fertilizer too concentratedly to prevent root burn.

4. Temperature

The suitable growth temperature for this plant is around 18-24℃. It cannot withstand extreme weather during maintenance. It needs to be sprayed with water to cool it down in summer and kept warm in winter.
