Measures for the Protection and Management of Ancient and Famous Trees

During the management period, ancient and famous trees should be regularly fertilized and properly pruned, and sprayed with pesticides at least twice a year. It is best to apply fertilizer during the peak growing season and the dormant period. Pruning is mainly aimed at branches and leaves that are growing poorly or infected with pests and diseases. They should be cut off in time to reduce nutrient consumption. For trees that are not growing well, rejuvenation work needs to be carried out, nutrients replaced in time, and the scope of maintenance expanded to ensure the normal growth of ancient trees. In addition, ancient and famous trees should be uniformly marked with signs and explanatory signs.

Within the protection area of ancient and famous trees, no new buildings can be built or expanded, and non-permeable ground cannot be hardened. No wires or pipelines can be installed without authorization, and no blasting, excavation and other operations can be carried out. Do not dig the soil or use open flames. It is not allowed to pile up garbage, discharge wastewater, or place flammable, explosive, toxic or harmful items around ancient trees.

No acts that damage ancient and famous trees are allowed, including nailing, carving, digging roots, breaking branches, damaging the bark, picking leaves without authorization, etc. All acts that damage ancient and famous trees must be strictly stopped.
