Causes and treatments of yellow leaves of bamboo grass

Causes and treatments of yellow leaves of bamboo grass

1. Watering problem

Reason: When watering bamboo grass, the amount of water needs to be controlled. If you water too little and there is insufficient moisture, the leaves will wilt and turn yellow. If you water too much, exceeding the water required for growth, water will accumulate and the leaves will turn yellow due to root rot.

Measures: If yellow leaves are caused by insufficient watering, increase the watering frequency appropriately and replenish moisture. If it is caused by overwatering, the solution is to drain the water at the least, or remove the plant from the pot, trim the roots and replant it at the worst. Water the plant on time and keep the soil moist at all times.

2. Too much light

Reason: Bamboo grass does not require much light to grow and is relatively shade-tolerant. If it is kept in a place with too strong light, the water in the plant will easily evaporate, causing water shortage, and then the leaves will turn yellow.

Measures: You can move the bamboo grass to a place with scattered light where the light is not too strong, and it only needs an appropriate amount of sunlight every day. In midsummer, shading must be carried out.

3. Temperature is too low

Reason: Bamboo grass is suitable for growing in warm places and is not cold-resistant. If the outside temperature is too low, even below 4 degrees, the growth of bamboo grass will stop and the leaves will turn yellow. In winter when the temperature drops even lower, there is a possibility of death.

Measures: The suitable growth temperature of bamboo grass is between 18 and 25 degrees. When the temperature drops in winter, it needs to be moved to a warm indoor place. When the temperature is high in summer, move the plant to a cool place or spray water around it to cool it down.
