Key points for caring for succulent plants in June: light and ventilation

For succulents that grow normally in summer, they can be placed in an environment with sufficient sunlight and good ventilation. If there is insufficient sunlight, the plants will become thinner and form an ugly pointed top. Even the plant shape will become loose, the leaves will become thinner, and the white powder on the leaves will disappear, which is not conducive to viewing.

For slow-growing succulent varieties, place them in a brightly lit area without sunlight to ensure that the plants remain compact and have beautiful leaf color during their dormant period.

Regardless of whether succulents grow in summer, a good ventilation environment must be maintained. If the environment becomes hot and humid due to poor ventilation, it can easily cause the plants to rot or even cause insect pests.

Key points for caring for succulent plants in June: watering

For summer-type species: water sufficiently. Although succulents are drought-resistant during the growing period, they do not like drought. If there is a long-term lack of water during the growing season, the plants will not die, but they will grow slowly and their appearance will be poor. Watering should be done in the evening or after sunset, and avoid watering during the high temperatures of noon to prevent sudden changes in soil temperature that may cause root rot.

For intermediate-sized succulents: they grow relatively slowly and require little water, so just keep the soil in the pot moist.

For winter types whose growth stops: strictly control watering, basically cut off watering, and avoid rain, otherwise it will easily rot.

Key points for caring for succulent plants in June: fertilization

For growing succulents, you can continue to fertilize them, usually once every half a month. For succulents that have stopped growing, you should stop fertilizing them.
