How to grow azalea at home, how to save it from wilting

1. Family Raising Method

1. Soil: When growing azalea at home, you need to use suitable soil. It likes to grow in acidic soil with good drainage. Try not to choose alkaline soil. When breeding in areas north of the Yangtze River, you can mix leaf mold, sandy soil and soil in a ratio of 7:2:1.

2. Temperature: The ambient temperature for its maintenance should be between 15-25℃. When the summer temperature is higher than 32℃, cooling is necessary. In winter, the temperature needs to be kept at 5-10℃. When the temperature is below 5℃, it will stop growing.

3. Watering: When growing in potted plants, do not allow water to accumulate in the soil. It is best to keep the soil moist but not wet. Do not use alkaline water when watering, and the water temperature should be close to room temperature. There should be no lack of water in summer, and less watering should be done in autumn and winter, and watering can be done only after the soil is dry.

4. Fertilization: In early spring, organic fertilizer is generally applied as base fertilizer. After it blooms, it needs to be fertilized once every half a month. Generally, no fertilizer is needed in autumn and winter. Fertilizer can be made from fruit peels and rice washing water, and should be applied in thin layers. There is no need to apply base fertilizer when repotting.

2. How to save the wilting

The causes are different and the rescue methods are also different. It is necessary to find out the cause of wilting based on daily maintenance. If excessive watering causes root rot, you need to stop watering and wait for it to recover slowly. If it is wilted by the hot summer sun, it needs to be moved to a cool place and given a little water. If the soil is too dry and lacks water, you need to gradually increase the amount of watering. The soil should not lack water.
