Cutting methodIt is carried out during the growth period of the Buddha Lotus and is divided into two situations. If a small rosette has grown under the large rosette of the Buddha Lotus, you can remove it and insert it directly into the pot if it has roots. If it has no roots, apply "carbendazim" on it and let it dry for a few days. Then plant it after the wound is dry. After planting, keep the pot slightly moist and it will germinate in two to three weeks. If no small rosette grows under the large rosette of the Buddha Lotus, you can spread its complete mature leaves flat on moist sand with the leaf surface facing up and the back of the leaf facing down. Do not cover them with soil and place them directly in a cool place. New leaves and new roots will grow at the base of the leaves in about 10 days. At this time, bury the roots in the soil, expose them to more sunlight, and water and fertilize them appropriately. Seeding methodAfter collecting the seeds, sow them in a cold bed in early spring. When the temperature is 10℃, it usually takes 2-6 weeks to germinate. When the temperature is 20℃, it will germinate in about 10 days. After the seedlings grow up, transplant them into pots. The sowing method can produce a large number of seedlings at one time, but their growth is slower. Tissue culture methodThe rapid propagation of Buddha Lotus through tissue culture requires simple materials but complicated steps. It is generally used for factory-based tissue culture, has a high success rate, and can produce many variants. |
