How to breed money bag

Cutting propagation of money bag

The most common method of propagation of money tree is branch cuttings. You can choose 1-2 year old branches for cuttings. Take strong branches about 10 cm long as cuttings. To reduce water evaporation and nutrient consumption, remove most of the leaves on the branches. The breeding temperature should be controlled at around 20℃-25℃, and the soil should be fertile, moist and loose. When ready, you can insert the branches into moist soil and ensure high air humidity during reproduction. The branches will be able to survive in about a month.

If flower lovers want to increase the survival rate of the plants, they can also choose woody stems specially used for cuttings.

Note: When breeding money vines indoors, you should try to place them in a brightly lit place, but avoid direct sunlight. Pay attention to ventilation. If the ventilation is not smooth, the new leaves will wilt and even die.

After successful cuttings, change the pots in time according to the maturity of the seedlings. The potting soil should be fertile, loose, well-drained and breathable. You can also add a small amount of chicken manure into the soil as base fertilizer. When the money bag enters normal condition, you can fertilize it once every two weeks or so, and stop fertilizing after September. This is conducive to the wood maturity of new branches and helps them survive the winter smoothly. At the same time, reduce the amount of watering in winter, and try to place the potted plants in a place with sufficient light to facilitate their maturity.
