How to grow Anthurium

How to grow Anthurium

soil

The soil for planting Anthurium can be mixed with 1 part pine needle soil + 1 part peat soil, and then it can be planted. A small brick can be placed at the bottom of the soil to increase the drainage effect.

temperature

Anthurium prefers a warm environment. The best growth temperature is between 25 and 28 degrees. In winter, the indoor temperature must not be lower than 15 degrees. If the temperature exceeds 30 degrees in summer, it will cause plant diseases.

illumination

Anthurium needs sufficient sunlight to maintain its growth, but it should also avoid the scorching sun in summer. In the other three seasons, try to keep it in a sunny place. At the same time, you can move the flower pot from time to time to allow it to be evenly exposed to the sun, which can make the overall appearance of the plant fuller.

humidity

Anthurium has high requirements for air humidity, especially during the growing season. The air humidity must be kept at around 70%. This humidity cannot be achieved under normal conditions, so you need to use a spray bottle to spray water around it to humidify the air. You can also wipe the leaves with damp cotton cloth to increase its humidity. This can be done several times a day. But after flowering, be careful not to spray water on the flowers.

Fertilization

You can also add some basal fertilizer to the bottom of the soil before planting. From March to August each year, fertilize once every 7 to 15 days.

When planting Anthurium at home, be careful not to eat it accidentally. Anthurium is a poisonous plant and will cause many adverse reactions after consumption. Especially if there are children at home, you must pay attention to the placement of the plant. But Anthurium does not emit any pollutants, so you can grow it with confidence.
