How to plant a magnolia tree

1. Water

Magnolia trees are afraid of both drought and waterlogging. If the soil is too dry, the leaves will curl. Its roots are fleshy. If they are too wet, the roots will rot and the leaves will turn yellow. Therefore, the amount of watering must be strictly controlled. If you find the soil is dry and hard, water it immediately and make sure it is watered thoroughly.

2. Soil

When planting magnolia trees, you should choose a culture soil that is loose, fertile and has good drainage. You can mix pine needle leaf mold, chaff ash, coarse sand and fermented manure in a ratio of 5:2:2:1. Be careful not to use heavy clay soil or fine sand with poor air permeability.

3. Fertilizer

Magnolia trees prefer acidic soil, so they are difficult to grow in the north. It likes phosphorus and potassium fertilizers, but the concentration must not be too high, otherwise the plant will wilt or even burn to death. When applying fertilizer, follow the principles of applying fertilizer in moderation, dilute fertilizer and in the evening, once every 5 days, so that the plant can grow healthily.
