When to plant radishes

1. Spring Radish

Spring radish is commonly grown in areas north of the Yangtze River. In the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, crops are sown from February to March and harvested from April to June. In the Yellow Sea region, sowing is done from March to April and harvesting is done from early May to June. In Northeast, Northwest and northern North China, the seeds are sown in April and May and can be harvested in June and July. Its growing period is about 25 to 60 days.

2. Summer Radish

Summer radish is sown from May to June and can be harvested from July to August.

3. Autumn Radish


Autumn radish is sown in late July to early August in the northwest and north China, and can be harvested in late October to early November; the northwest and northeast are colder, so planting should be done a little earlier, sowing in early to mid-July and harvesting in early to mid-October.

4. Winter Radish

Winter radish is usually sown in early to mid-September, not too late, as the temperature is lower in the later period and sowing too late will affect the yield.
