How to grow Australian fir

How to grow Australian fir

1. Choose soil with good soil quality

It has many requirements for the soil. The drainage must be good, the soil must contain a lot of nutrients, and it is best to have acidic soil. Therefore, the culture soil can generally be made by mixing garden soil, leaf mold and peat moss.

2. Provide sufficient light

It will grow well in an environment with sufficient light. However, the light cannot be too strong. Choose a location for it with good diffused light so it will grow well and have shiny leaves.

3. Provide a warm environment

The best temperature is between 10 and 25 degrees, but you need to keep warm in winter. However, the temperature in summer cannot be too high, not exceeding 32 degrees.

4. Provide adequate water

Australian fir itself is afraid of drought, so it needs sufficient water. Especially from spring to autumn, which is its growing season, it must have enough water. After late fall, you can reduce watering. However, be careful not to allow water to accumulate at any time.

5. Provide the right amount of fertilizer

You can use some compound fertilizer in moderation to help its growth. During the growth period, use once every two weeks. Don't use too much, otherwise it will have the opposite effect.

6. Rotate the pot regularly

In addition to providing sufficient light, you should also pay attention to whether the light is evenly distributed. You can rotate the pot regularly so that it can receive light from all directions.
