When to plant gladiolus

Planting time in the north and south : There are differences in the time suitable for planting gladioli in the south and the north. Gladiolus can be planted in winter in the south, while gladioli can only be planted in spring, summer and autumn in the north.

Greenhouse planting time : Gladiolus can be planted in a greenhouse. The time for greenhouse planting is different from that for open-air planting. Due to the special nature of the greenhouse, gladiolus can be planted at any time of the year.

Jiangxi Gladiolus

It is more suitable to plant Jiangxi gladiolus in spring. It will bloom after 40-50 days of growth after planting. The longer the Jiangxi gladiolus grows, the faster it will grow.

Fujian Gladiolus

Fujian Gladiolus can be planted at any time and will bloom 1-2 months after planting. The survival rate of Fujian Gladiolus is relatively high, and Fujian Gladiolus likes sunlight very much.

Gladiolus varieties and planting months

Hybrid varieties of gladiolus include melancholy gladiolus, multiflora gladiolus, crimson gladiolus, and parrot gladiolus.

Melancholy Gladiolus

It is usually more suitable to plant the melancholy gladiolus in spring and summer. It will bloom about 50 days after planting. The leaves of the melancholy gladiolus are cylindrical and very distinctive. The petals are mostly yellow-white, but the flowers are relatively sparse.

Gladiolus multiflorus

Multi-flowered gladiolus is usually planted in late April and blooms in June and July. The petals of multi-flowered gladiolus are pure white and very simple. It has a large number of flowers and a large plant shape, mostly between 45 and 60 cm.
