Should I use a large or small pot for Jade Dew?

Jade plant is a succulent plant. The stem of this plant is not very big, so it can be planted in a small pot. The diameter of the pot should be about 7 cm. The plant hates moisture. If the pot is too large, it will lead to poor drainage, affecting the breathing and normal growth of the plant roots.

Growth environment: Jade plant prefers a cool and semi-shady growing environment and avoids high temperature and humidity. The suitable temperature for growth is 10-28℃. The water evaporates relatively slowly and does not need to be watered frequently.

Repotting time: It is best to repot the Jade Plant in spring from March to May. The climate at this time is relatively stable, and the plant can resume normal growth as soon as possible after repotting.

Should I use a deep or shallow pot for Jade Dew?

Although the jade plant is not large in size, its root system is thick and strong, so it needs to be planted in a deep pot. If the pot is too shallow, the root system will not be able to fully extend.

When growing jade plants, you can use terracotta pots, ceramic pots, purple clay pots, and coarse pottery pots. Generally speaking, wide-mouthed ceramic pots are the most suitable for growing jade plants.

How to repot Jade Dew

Before repotting the jade plant, you should prepare a new larger flowerpot. The new flower soil can be nutrient soil, and a layer of expanded clay should be spread on the bottom of the flowerpot. Take the plant out of the original flowerpot, trim the roots and plant it in the new flowerpot. After planting, water it once to help the roots take hold.
