How to plant lily bulbs

Material

Lily bulbs, flower pots (large and deep), water, watering can, scissors, carbendazim, small shovel, slow-release fertilizer.

step

The first step is to sort out the lily bulbs and cut off the damaged roots.

The second step is to place the well-pruned lily bulbs in a solution of carbendazim for disinfection. (The ratio is 1:1000) It needs to be soaked for about half an hour.

The third step is to prepare the potting soil, which can be mixed. First, put about 3 cm of soil in the flowerpot, then sprinkle some slow-release fertilizer, and then fill the flowerpot with soil.

The third step is to clean the bulbs. After the lily bulbs are soaked, they should be taken out in time, rinsed with clean water, and then placed in a well-ventilated place with scattered light to dry.

Step 4: Planting. Plant the lily bulbs in the pot, let the roots spread out, and then fill with soil.

Things to note when planting lily bulbs

First, when you buy lily bulbs, you need to plant them in time, because the bulbs, roots and buds will be damaged after a long period of transportation.

Second, when adding fertilizer, you need to use soil to separate the lily bulbs and fertilizer. The lily roots cannot directly contact the fertilizer.

Third, after the lily bulbs are soaked, the residue on them needs to be cleaned.

Fourth, when planting, the soil should be slightly compacted, the bulbs must be buried, and the top buds should be exposed above the soil surface. Feel free to add soil as your lily grows.
