Can bamboo be grown in the north?

Nan bamboo can be planted in the north. The climate in the north is relatively cold, but there are also areas with warmer climates. Nan bamboo refers to moso bamboo, which is a type of bamboo. Generally, it is best to plant it between March and May in spring, so that the survival rate of Nan bamboo will be higher.

Nanzhu likes a warm environment. Generally, when planting in the north, it is best to plant it in the southeast region because the climate in this area is relatively warm, which allows Nanzhu to grow normally. Currently, Nanzhu is mostly planted in Hunan, Jiangxi and Fujian.

How to grow bamboo in the north

1. Soil: When planting nanzhu, the soil should be deep, fertile and moist, preferably acidic loam or sandy loam with good drainage and air permeability.

2. Planting density: When planting nanmu bamboo, the plant spacing can be about 6 meters. Generally, about 20 to 35 nanmu bamboos can be planted per acre of land.

3. Temperature: Nanzhu likes a warm environment. It is best to maintain the environmental temperature at around 15-20 degrees during planting and maintenance, so that it will grow faster.

4. Water: When caring for nanzhu, water it when the soil is dry. Do not water it if the soil is not dry. The soil must be soaked every time you water it.
